Job Title: Java Developer

Software Development Lifecycle

You will be responsible for developing eCommerce Java applications as defined by our product roadmaps.  Your efforts will include but not be limited to integrations with partners such as marketplaces (eBay, Google, Amazon etc), shipping providers, payment gateways, and tax calculators through APIs, new feature and module development in Infopia’s flagship product Marketplace Manager TM, standalone automation applications, data manipulation scripts and Infopia’s Enterprise websites.  Our products are written primarily using Java, Java Servlet Pages, Servlets and Oracle database SQL and run upon the existing Infopia technology stack.  You will be responsible for staying within time estimates for projects as well as performing full unit testing of your solution before it is made available for release. You will be responsible for maintenance work required on the products. You will have the opportunity to work on the supporting infrastructure such as configuration management, unit test management, deployment procedures and other areas where you have an interest or where a need arises.

Candidate Profile

The skill sets needed for this position include Java, Java Servlets, SQL, Database programming, HTML, and JavaScript.  The ideal candidate will have been working with Java as their primary language(s) for the last few years and have a good understanding of the available tools and frameworks within the Java community. Software developers are expected to constantly improve their abilities in these areas and share any new knowledge with the rest of the development team.

Positions Requirements

• 3+ years design & development experience, minimum 1 year with Java as primary language/environment.
• 1+ years SQL / RDBMS development (Oracle a plus)
• Proficient in HTML, JavaScript
• College degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred Experience

• Experience high-volume Java-based web applications
• Thorough familiarity with Object-oriented design concepts, and with Design Patterns
• Strong working knowledge of Linux, Apache and SQL

Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary, full benefit package and stock option plan based on experience.
